Known for her jaw-dropping role as the sultry and sexy rebel in the movie version of the cult animated series, "Aeon Flux" and the hot but naive wife of Keannu Reeves in the blockbuster movie, "The Devil's Advocate," Charlize Theron have surely come a long way in her career as one of the most sought after Hollywood stars today.

Charlize Theron is Charles Theron's, an owner of a large construction company who is of French blood, and Gerda's daughter. Charlize was born in Benoni, Gauteng, South Africa and grew up with an Afrikaans tounge. She also speaks in Xhosa and is well-versed on the English language too. The American accent seemed very natural to her that most people think that she's an American.

Interestingly, she was an only child who spent her childhood days on her parent's farm located near Johannesburg in Benoni. Charlize was then sent to a boarding school in the National School of the Arts by the age of 13. She then dabbled in modeling by the age of 16 in Milan, Italy after which she landed her first role in the video-released movie, Children of the Corn III.
